NHS – Regional Sectors
Projects I have worked on for sectors of the NHS include mass communications through direct mail, public meeting material and online questionnaire design. In addition, I have designed business case iterations for projects and am currently working on a number of Annual Reports and Summary documents which I have been involved in since 2011.
Partnership approach
Often, I am given a collation of assets from multiple authors from multiple departments and asked to collate them into the final piece of design. This requires an implementation of a number of skills but without doubt the most important is communication.
With any project, but particularly one with so many facets, it is integral to the success of the final execution that all parties are kept up to date with stages of the design and production process.
Working across a number of local National Health organisations and sometimes at the same time, it becomes apparent that no two projects work the same. Managing client expectations is just one element of handling a project such as an annual report; when you have a 300 page document to deliver in less than a calendar month you become more than just a designer, you become the account handler.
